Through 40 plus years of technical cum managerial experience with Nayara Energy Limited and Bharat Petroleum  Corporation Limited (BPCL) Shri Prasad K Panicker have enriched his capability to handle complex and challenging assignments in a highly competitive and policy driven business environment.

A Chemical Engineer from Government College of Engineering, Thrissur, Kerala and an MBA holder from Cochin University of Science and Technology.

He joined Nayara Energy Limited as Director & Head of Refinery in February 2020, Vadinar Refinery India’s second largest single location Refinery & Elevated as company’s Chairman & Head Of Refinery in October 2022. Also as Board of Director in COVIVA Energy Limited subsidiary of Nayara Energy Limited.

Mr. Panicker began his career in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in 1982. Worked as operational head of Kochi and Mumbai Refineries of BPCL, Maharashtra, played a key role in reconfiguring and benchmarking the refineries for business Improvement to enhance safety, reliability and profitability.

Headed BPCL Kochi Refinery (KR), the largest Indian Public Sector refinery, and was instrumental in transforming it as an integrated refining cum petrochemical unit with high complexities. Prior to elevation as Executive Director, Kochi Refinery was General Manager (Operations) & General Manager In-Charge of Kochi Refinery, Kerala.

He is a member of Board of Governance in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), UP and Board of  Governance in Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kerala. Also a member of Board of Studies in Saintgits Engineering College. Industrial Nominee to the Board of Governors of Government Engineering College, Thrissur, Kerala. As a Governing council member of Centre of Excellence on Process Safety Management in IIT, New Delhi. He is a member of the advisory committee in the committee constituted by Industries Department of Govt. of Kerala (GoK). He was in the Board of Directors of Kannur International Airport Limited, Kochi Salem Pipeline Pvt. Ltd., BPCL-KIAL Fuel Farm Private Ltd & Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was also the President of Kerala Management Association (KMA).

In addition, he has also spoken on diverse subjects at various engineering colleges and Management Associations.
