Professional Profile
Mr Sushant Naik has been heading Government & Public Affairs, Tata Motors since March 2014. Mr Naik is playing a key role in planning and leading policy advocacy strategy (policy changes and policy formulations), domestically (Central and State Governments) and globally of Indian Automobile Industry. He is also involved in supporting domestic as well as international business of Tata Motors with respect to advocacy strategy/execution and critical policy matters for business growth. During his professional career of around 29+ years, Mr Naik has diverse, professional experience in catalyzing the corporate sector for sustainable growth and overall economic development by supporting value creation and opportunity maximization through public Policy and advocacy, scenario analysis, consensus building, stakeholder management.
Prior to joining the services of Tata Group, Mr Naik worked as :
- CEO of EMC West Asia JLT (Dubai) from February 2011 – February 2014.
- National Head – Government Banking Group, ICICI Bank during May 2003 – February 2011.
Mr Naik started his professional career with SICOM Ltd. where he played leading role as advisor to government of Maharashtra on privatization of various infrastructure projects

Mr Naik has delivered numerous lectures on wide range of issues including development of Smart Mobility and E Mobility solutions for Indian cities, appropriate incentives to promote electric vehicles in India, Auto industries policies etc. He has also addressed the Oxford Executive MBA Mid Career Officials on “Global Government & Public Affairs practices and E-Mobility Policies in India”. Also he has addressed the Scholars of Indian School of Public Policy on “Various roles of policy/public affairs and Advocacy in creating EV ecosystem in India including hybrid and fuel cell vehicles “. Also he has addressed the MBA students of Podar World College on “Future of E-Mobility and Business Restructuring Post COVID 19 (Auto Industry)”
