Sujoy Ghosh is the Vice President for First Solar and country managing director for the company’s India operations from manufacturing to business development.

He joined First Solar in 2012, and has supervised the build out of the company’s India business resulting in an overall installed base of 2GW+ of CdTe thin film PV modules. He is responsible for execution of all of the company’s investments in India, from development of utility scale solar assets (2014-18), to now implementing a green-field vertically integrated 3.3GW/year thin-film PV manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.

Sujoy has over 30 years of industry experience in India, and joined First Solar from GE, where he was the Regional General Manager for GE Energy’s Power and Water business. Prior to joining GE, Sujoy worked for 13 years in Tata Honeywell in Industrial automation and control systems
