Rahul Singh holds the VP India position for Shell’s Integrated Gas & RES portfolio in India with oversight on Shell’s gas operations in India and the legacy upstream operations of the Panna-Mukta-Tapti Joint Venture.

He is additionally the Managing Director for Shell Energy India and Hazira Port Pvt Ltd, which operates a 5 mtpa LNG regassification terminal and a multi-cargo port at Hazira, Gujarat, serving both the energy and infrastructure needs of the country. He also holds Directorships in other Shell entities in India, including the Shell Pahal Welfare Association which manages Shell’s Social Performance and Social Investment activities in India.

Rahul joined Shell in 2002 and has since then worked extensively in the LNG industry in various locations across India, UAE, and Qatar. He has full gas value chain experience across LNG liquefaction ventures, midstream LNG regassification assets to downstream gas marketing. His Shell career spans across various commercial/new business development roles, including governance of material Integrated Gas assets and Director level positions.

Prior to joining Shell, Rahul worked as a Research Associate with TERI (1998 - 2002), India’s premier research institute in the field of energy & environment, providing consultancy services in the downstream oil & gas sector.
