Praveen brings to Cairn more than 24 years of rich expertise and international experience in the energy sector. In his role as President – Business Development & Policy, Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta Limited; Praveen Palakeezhil has a key role in enabling the organisation’s strategy and growth story and towards attainment of the organization’s vision of enhancing India’s energy security.

Praveen’s experience in the Oil & Gas sector encompasses the entire spectrum of Upstream Oil & Gas Operations Management, Business Development & Technology Management. Prior to joining Cairn, Praveen has previously worked with leading Oil & Gas Technology Providers - Baker Hughes, Halliburton. Praveen has worked in varied Oil & Gas basins around the world in Egypt, Scotland, Vietnam, Malaysia, besides India.

Praveen did B.Tech (Mech) from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Praveen is an avid sports enthusiast and also enjoys music and reading in his spare time.
