Mr. Manish Maheshwari, Chairman, Invenire Energy Group, has over 25 years of experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas sector spanning South-East Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, working for majors and independents.

With hands-on approach and a PE mindset, Manish has been credited with turnaround of several oil and gas businesses and establishing responsible growth. Manish has served as CEO and MD of Hindustan Oil Exploration Company under the Chairmanship of Dr I.G. Patel, ex-Director London School of Economics, positioning the company as the ‘operator’ and delivering 8X growth during his tenure. During his stint as CEO of Essar Exploration and Production, he successfully monetised the ‘conventional’ portfolio of oil and gas assets in India, Africa and South-East Asia and established the company as the largest producer of coal bed methane in India.

Manish started his career with Unilever as a ‘management trainee’ and worked with Tata Group holding company for new businesses including oil and gas and advanced materials. Manish has worked as CEO of 7Energy, a Capital Group / IFC investee company in sub-Sahara Africa, responsible for producing more than 60,000 barrels of crude oil and distributing 600 mmscfd of natural gas to end consumers through owned infrastructure.

Manish has a Bachelor (Hons) in Chemical Engineering with specialisation in petroleum, a Master (Hons.) in Business Administration from Strathclyde University (U.K.) and a fellowship from Scandinavian International Management Institute, Denmark. He is an active member of professional bodies including the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).
