Dr Pankaj Sharma has over 34 years’ experience in Oil & Gas sector. An MBA and PhD in Economics, Dr Sharma joined Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC), an attached office and the data backbone of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, as Additional Director (Demand & Economic Studies) in 2021 on deputation from Oil & Gas major HPCL where he started his career in 1988. He possesses extensive experience of leading diverse teams in the field of Retail, B2B Business, Operations, Dealer Management, and Network Management with drive to make impact on business.

At PPAC, he employs his experience in the areas of Energy Transition, Oil & Gas data management and analysis, petroleum marketing policies, biofuels, Energy modelling and demand estimation. He loves to narrate his subject through stories spread all over.
