Deepak Kannan joined S&P Global Commodity Insights in March 2012 and is currently Head of Global Coal- Pricing.
He oversees thermal coal market coverage across EMEA, US and Asia and his team produces daily newsletters, real-time and market-moving news.
Prior to joining Platts, which is part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, he worked as an editor with Thomson Reuters in both Bangalore and Singapore for six years.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from Bangalore University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Science.
