Shri Anjani Kumar Tiwari joined as Member, PNGRB on 01st December 2021. Before joining Member, PNGRB, Mr. Tiwari worked in various capacities in GAIL (India) Limited and as Director (Finance). As a Director (Finance) and CFO of GAIL, he focused on establishment and implementation of policies and procedures for decisions making on Strategic matters, Risk Mitigation measures, Merger & Acquisition and investment opportunities.

In addition to Board Member in GAIL, Shri. Tiwari also held the position of Director in GAIL Gas Ltd., Green Gas Ltd., Bhagyanagar Gas Ltd, GAIL Gas (USA) Inc., GAIL Global (USA) LNG LLC, GAIL Global Singapore Pte Ltd., and RGPPL and has ensured effective, sustainable, strategic and result oriented decision making in Board functioning.

Shri Tiwari has over 38 years of varied experience under complex business environment in OIL & Gas, Thermal Power, Hydel Power and City Gas Distribution sector. He did his graduation from Kolkata University and ICWA from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

He developed excellent relationships with various stakeholders like Investors & Analysts, Bankers, Press, and dignitaries from Oil & Gas Industries for transparent representation about the company, its future plan and to understand the best practices in GAIL.

He was involved in transformation of finance function to align with the overall company strategy and make revolutionary changes into financial function, associated processes, internal controls and financial reporting. He has taken active role in GAIL for maintaining strong Balance sheet and Profitability.

He was involved in finalization of GAIL Strategy 2030 which focused on diversification and growth of Natural Gas Sector as well as Renewables. He spearheaded and guided the Company towards Succession planning and Capability Building, Safe & Sustain operations. This also included to ascertain the leadership role of the Company in natural gas with Global presence, Focused and suitable Organization Structure, Effective advocacy measures to maintain and improve brand image of company.

He has transformed GAIL digital initiatives to derive maximum value for its product lines. Many innovative ideas implemented during his tenure in line with Government vision for digitization. Shri Tiwari has excellent record of accomplishment in successful negotiation and conclusion of various Long Term Gas Supply / Purchase Agreements as well as LNG Infrastructure / Regas Service agreement and major investment decisions.
